The rechecking and re-evaluation process for the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam results of 2026 has officially started as of May 19. Students who have concerns about their scores can now apply for various services, including obtaining scanned copies of their answer sheets, mark verification, and full re-evaluation. This year, the Board has made notable adjustments to the fee structure, allowing students to access these services at a reduced cost compared to previous years. The application dates for these services have also been announced, and students can apply online through the official website.
Application Process for Scanned Copies
Students can request digitally scanned copies of their answer sheets by applying between May 19 and May 22, 2026. The fee for this service is set at ₹100 per subject. Once the application is processed, the scanned copies will be accessible on the students' login dashboards.
Rechecking and Re-evaluation Fee Changes
This year, the Board has significantly lowered the fees. Applications for mark verification (rechecking) can be submitted from May 26 to May 29, with a fee of ₹100 per subject. For re-evaluation of specific questions, applications will be accepted from May 31 to June 5, with a fee of ₹25 per question.
Steps to Apply
To apply, students should first visit the official CBSE website. They need to navigate to the 'Post Result Services' section, log in using their Roll Number and other required details, and select the desired service—whether it’s obtaining scanned copies, mark verification, or re-evaluation. After entering the subject and question numbers accurately, they should submit the applicable fees online. A receipt will be sent via SMS upon successful application completion.
Expected Results Timeline
Typically, the results for rechecking and re-evaluation are announced within 7 to 15 days. This year, there has been increased discussion about the on-screen marking system, aimed at enhancing the transparency of the evaluation process.
