Asda is set to launch a major in-store change for all UK stores that will affect customers across the country. The supermarket chain will introduce hundreds of new products as the brand looks to upgrade its shopping experience. More than 400 food and drink additions in total will appear as part of a product refresh.
Changes to the fruit and veg section will see dedicated greengrocers returning to the aisles to support customers making healthy choices. Further changes for Asda's food line-up will be made to the bakery section, frozen foods range, and the food to go range. Clearer information on quality per product has also been added to the new range of foods on sale. More than 230 new frozen products have also been introduced to the category.
New £1 and £2 roundels have been introduced in-store and online Retail Gazette confirmed. Further changes to the enhanced rewards programme will be introduced by the supermarket giant too.

The Asda rewards programme has introduced new missions and offers across different categories including fresh, frozen and general merchandise.
Asda chief customer officer Rachel Eyre said: "We know many customers are making careful choices when they shop and our job is to do even more to support them.
"These changes offer greater value and choice in areas they shop the most and improve the in-store shopping experience.
"They're about rewarding customers for their loyalty, as well as encouraging those who haven't been to Asda for a while to take a fresh look. We're confident they'll see the difference straight away."
The revamped selection of produce comes a short while after the supermarket chain confirmed new meal deal offers. A premium deal of a main, drink and snack for £5 in its supermarkets and Express shops from Monday (May 18).
The popular high street supermarket is set to shake up the lunchtime market with the launch of its new "Exceptional" meal deal. The £5 offer gives customers access to a selection of 17 premium mains, ranging from deliinspired sandwiches and wraps to fresh salads, alongside Yo Sushi poke bowls and rolls.
Asda says the pricing has been deliberately pitched below comparable premium deals offered by its major rivals.
