Country's first bullet train
India's dream of high-speed rail is soon going to become a reality. The country's first bullet train will be seen running on the tracks from 15 August 2027. Giving this information, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project is progressing rapidly and preparations are being made to start it on time.
The journey of 500 kilometers will be completed in two hours
The country's first bullet train will cover a distance of about 500 kilometers between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The most important thing is that this journey can be completed in just two hours. Currently, it takes about 6 to 7 hours by train to cover this distance. In such a situation, bullet train will save a lot of time for passengers.
Speed will be up to 320 kilometers per hour
The initial speed of the bullet train will be more than 300 kilometers per hour and it will be able to run up to a maximum of 320 kilometers per hour. It is considered to be the fastest train of India so far. Due to high-speed technology and modern track system, travel will be more safe and comfortable.
New train will be seen in saffron color
According to the prototype pictures surfaced, India's first bullet train will be seen in saffron colour. Its design has been kept quite modern and an attempt has been made to give it an Indian identity like Namo Bharat trains. Apart from being hi-tech, the external look of the train will also show a glimpse of Indian culture.
There will be 8 coaches initially
According to the Railway Ministry, 8 coaches will be installed in the Bullet Train in the initial phase. Later, as the number of passengers increases, the number of coaches can be increased. Passengers are expected to get airline like facilities in the train. There will be a special focus on comfortable seats, modern safety systems and better travel experience.
Big step in modernization of railways
The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project is being considered a big step towards the modernization of Indian Railways. This project, being prepared with the help of Japan's high-speed rail technology, can give a new identity to India's transport infrastructure.
The government believes that the introduction of bullet train will also boost business, tourism and employment. Also, India will join those select countries of the world where high-speed rail network exists.
