Lucknow, Read: Even though the excitement of IPL 2026 at Ekana Stadium will end on May 23, the excitement of cricket is not going to stop here. About 24 days later, on June 17, Ekana will once again witness international cricket, where the second match of the ODI series will be played between India and Afghanistan. After the announcement of Team India, there is tremendous enthusiasm among the cricket lovers of Lucknow.

The biggest attraction of this match will be the two legends of Indian cricket, ‘King’ Virat Kohli and ‘Hitman’ Rohit Sharma. The stands are expected to be packed once again to watch Rohit Sharma’s explosive shots and Virat Kohli’s run machine batting.

Many players of both the teams are familiar with the Ikana pitch. India’s KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav have played here before. This ground has been special for Afghanistan’s star spinner Rashid Khan. His mysterious spin on the turning pitch can prove to be a big challenge for the Indian batsmen.

The schedule of Afghanistan tour is as follows – 6-10 June Test match will be played in New Chandigarh, 14 June 1st ODI in Dharamshala, 17 June 2nd ODI in Lucknow (Ekana Stadium) and 20 June 3rd ODI in Chennai.
