Today is the first Friday after the important decision of Madhya Pradesh High Court on the historical Bhojshala complex of Dhar, while on one hand the Hindu community is preparing for havan-puja and Maha Aarti, on the other hand the Muslim side has filed a special permission petition in the Supreme Court against this order. In fact, on May 15, the Indore Bench of the High Court had declared Bhojshala a temple, after which today is witnessing a special religious and legal commotion in the city. Security arrangements have been made very tight in the city and police forces are deployed at every nook and corner.
Havan-puja in Bhojshala from 1 pm to 3 pm
In fact, on behalf of Hindu society, Patron of Bhoj Utsav Committee, Ashok Jain told that today Havan-Pooja and Maha Aarti will be organized in Bhojshala from 1 pm to 3 pm. However, earlier there was a plan to take out a procession, which has been canceled due to some reasons. Jain termed this day as very historic, he said that after a long struggle of 721 years, today the Hindu society will worship and perform Maha Aarti of Maa Saraswati in Bhojshala with full self-respect and respect. He reminded that in the year 1305 AD, the Mughal invader Alauddin Khilji had illegally occupied this temple and desecrated it, after which the Hindu society was continuously fighting for its rights.
Muslim side moved Supreme Court
Here, disappointed with the decision of the High Court, the Muslim side approached the Supreme Court late Thursday evening. Qazi Moinuddin, while filing the Special Leave Petition (SLP) at around 8:30 pm on Thursday night, has described the order as one-sided. While presenting his side, Sadar Abdul Samad said that Friday prayers have been offered in Kamal Maula Masjid for the last 700 years. The Muslim community is saddened by this ancient tradition being affected, but he made it clear that this fight will be fought completely within the constitutional and legal ambit. City Qazi Waqar Sadiq also expressed respect for the judiciary and said that the Muslim society is now expecting justice from the Supreme Court.
Appeal to follow administration guidelines
Earlier, the Muslim side had also announced to offer Namaz in Bhojshala, which was postponed till late evening. City Qazi said that only when relief and stay will be given from the Supreme Court, the Muslim community will offer namaz with respect as before. He appealed to all the communities to maintain peace and harmony while appealing to follow the guidelines of the administration. City Qazi said that this city is our own, hence it is everyone’s responsibility to maintain peace and brotherhood.
Police-administration fully prepared
The police administration is fully prepared to maintain security in Dhar. About two thousand officers and soldiers have been deployed across the city. A special team of police is also continuously monitoring social media to ensure that no rumor or inflammatory material is spread. Collector Rajiv Ranjan Meena has appealed to the citizens to maintain peace and communal harmony. On Thursday, a flag march was also taken out on foot under the leadership of Collector and Superintendent of Police Sachin Sharma, the objective of which was to give the message of peace.
8 special security companies were also deployed
Giving information about the security arrangements, Additional SP Vijay Dawar said that apart from 2000 police personnel, 8 special security companies have also been deployed. These include units like Rapid Action Force (RAF), Paramilitary Force, SDF, Special Task Force (STF) and Mounted Police. Constant monitoring is being done by the district administration so that peace and law and order are maintained in the city.
This liberation is still incomplete: Gopal Sharma
Bhoj Utsav Committee member Gopal Sharma while presenting his views said that this liberation is still incomplete. His resolve is that this Satyagraha will continue until the entire grandeur and appearance of Bhojshala becomes like the times of Raja Bhoj. He also said that even today when he comes to the temple, many things prick his eyes, which destroy its original form.
Please note that earlier on May 19, Hindu society had celebrated Vijay Mahasatyagraha. On this occasion, Hanuman Chalisa and Maha Aarti were performed after Saraswati Stuti at 8:55 am. The Mahasatyagraha Bhoj Utsav Committee dedicated it to those who lost their lives or went to jail in the Bhojshala movement. Fireworks were also set off for about an hour in the afternoon. During this, it was resolved that soon the original statue of Maa Vagdevi would be brought back from London and installed in the banquet hall. Advocate Manish Gupta informed that a three-point demand report has been sent to the Central Government. The first demand in this is to take concrete steps to bring back the statue of Vagdevi. The second demand is to remove the Islamic verses written in the sanctum sanctorum. Petitioner Ashish Goyal of Hindu Front for Justice said that a letter has also been written to immediately install the idols of all 94 gods and goddesses including Brahmaji and Vagdevi, which were found from the premises during the ASI survey, in the banquet hall.
