However, technical experts say that doing so creates difficulty in dissipating the heat of the mobile. When the phone is used continuously, the battery and processor inside it generate heat. If extra things are kept inside the cover, then this heat is not able to come out and the temperature of the phone starts increasing. If this happens for a long time, the battery capacity may weaken and the performance of the phone may also be affected.

Apart from this, people have also started keeping ATM Card, Debit Card and other important cards in the phone cover. This method may seem easy, but this habit can prove harmful in summer. The continuous heat emanating from the smartphone can affect the magnetic strip and electronic chip of the card. In such a situation, problems like card damage or machine not working may arise. Many times people are not able to make payment on time, which further increases the problem.

Some users also keep coins, small keys or other metal objects in the phone cover. According to experts, this habit is considered the most dangerous. The metal heats up very fast and increases the heat of the phone even more. If the metal part comes in contact with any electronic part or charging port of the phone, then serious problems like short circuit can occur. This is why it is advisable to keep the phone cover blank and light during the summer season.

Many people also keep small bills, slips or important papers pressed in the mobile cover. Although these things are light, they affect the airflow of the phone. Smartphones are designed to allow internal heat to escape easily, but keeping paper in the cover slows down the cooling process. Due to this, the phone starts heating quickly and puts extra pressure on the battery.

Some people also keep extra SIM card and memory card in the phone cover for backup. But continuously increasing heat can damage these electronic items also. Due to high temperature, the memory card can get damaged and the risk of losing important data forever increases. Experts believe that to keep the smartphone safe in summer, it should be protected from direct sunlight and one should avoid keeping any kind of extra stuff inside the phone cover.
