New Delhi: At present, the Sun God is spewing fire in many parts of the country including North India. Meanwhile, the hottest day of the year i.e. ‘Nautapa’ has started. According to astrology, Nautapa begins when the king of the planets, Sun God, enters Rohini Nakshatra. These are those 9 days when the most severe heat occurs on earth. However, Nautapa is not only to the scorching heat, but it is also directly to our monsoon and agriculture.

According to old beliefs and experts, the more and record-breaking heat there is during Nautapa, the more spectacular and longer the monsoon will be that year. The heat of Nautapa is considered very important for good rainfall. But keeping yourself safe amidst this scorching sun and humidity is also a big challenge. To stay healthy during these 9 days, it is very important to eat good and nutritious food, avoid dehydration in the body and get enough sleep.

Don’t wear this color even by mistake, trouble will increase

During Nautapa, when the mercury is at its record level, we need to be very careful about our clothes. Both health experts and astrologers advise not to wear dark colored clothes during this period. Especially one should stay away from black, dark green and blue colored clothes.

In fact, dark colored clothes attract the bright light and heat of the sun very fast. When you go out in the sun, the temperature of these dark colored clothes can reach 60 degrees, which can prove to be very dangerous for your skin and overall health. Therefore, emphasis should be laid on wearing light colored cotton clothes in this season.

What is the real scientific reason behind this?

If we understand this from the scientific point of view, then instead of reflecting the sun’s rays, dark colors completely absorb them. In this also black color absorbs the most heat. In such a situation, if you go out in the scorching sun wearing black or very dark clothes, then all the heat from outside starts getting absorbed inside your body.

During the days of Nautapa, the sun’s rays fall directly on the earth and are very sharp. In such a situation, these dark clothes heat your body like an ‘oven’. Due to this, the body sweats a lot, but due to lack of air, the body does not get coolness. The result is that you can quickly become a victim of dehydration and heat stroke.

Stay away from these specific colors and fabrics immediately

In this summer season and especially during Nautapa, you should completely exclude some colors from your wardrobe for a few days. You should mainly avoid wearing all black, dark green, dark blue and dark red or brown colored clothes.

Along with colors, it is equally important to pay attention to the material of the clothes i.e. fabric. Do not make the mistake of wearing synthetic, nylon or very thick clothes in summer. These clothes do not allow body heat to escape and do not absorb sweat, due to which problems like skin rashes, nervousness and restlessness start increasing rapidly.

These colors and remedies will provide real relief in this season

To avoid the scorching heat, you should include white, yellow, light grey, beige or pastel colors (light shades) in your daily life. These colors provide comfort to the eyes as well as reflect the sunlight which reduces the heat. Apart from this, always wear loose clothes so that the movement of air remains in the body. While going out in the sun, it is better to wear full sleeve shirts and pants to avoid direct sunburn. Also, use a cap, cotton towel or umbrella to protect your head from the sun.

Talking about fabric, cotton clothes are your best friends in this period of hardship. Apart from cotton, you can also choose linen or khadi clothes. The specialty of these fabrics is that air passes easily between their fibers, due to which the external heat does not get locked inside the body and they also absorb sweat immediately.
