Along with this, a very rare "tropical night" (Tropical Night) has also been recorded, which simply means that the temperature here does not fall below 20 degrees Celsius even during the night. On Monday, the temperature in south-western France reached a record-breaking 36 degrees Celsius and here too the night temperature remained above 20 degrees Celsius. Explaining the reason for this devastating weather, France’s national meteorological department ‘Météo-France’ said that due to a powerful high-pressure system, a dangerous situation like ‘Heat Dome’ has been created in the entire area. He further said that the speed at which records are being broken in cold countries like Britain and France is very scary and surprising. People are suffering without AC, metro is stalled and fire broke out in the mountains. Homes, schools, offices and public transport of Britain, a country with generally pleasant and cold weather, are not made according to the air conditioning (AC) system. In such a situation, lakhs of passengers traveling in the London Subway (Metro) without AC looked sweaty and distressed. The movement of trains to and from London’s busiest Waterloo station had to be completely stopped after reports of smoke rising on the tracks due to the scorching heat. On the other hand, the situation in Scotland also became worse, where a massive fire broke out in the dry grass of ‘Arthur’s Seat’, the historic hill above Edinburgh, which firefighters had to work hard throughout the night to extinguish. In view of this dire situation, the UK Health Security Agency has issued ‘Amber Health Alert’ for a large part of the country till Thursday and has strictly advised the elderly and children to stay indoors during the day. Many lives were lost while trying to get relief from the heat, dead bodies were lying on the beaches. Due to this unseasonal heat and sudden heatwave, there has been huge loss of life and property in Europe. Since summer has arrived much ahead of schedule, regular deployment of lifeguards on the beaches could not be done, which became the biggest reason for this tragedy. Situation in Britain: According to administrative officials, at least four teenagers, who entered lakes, ponds and dangerous reservoirs to get relief from the heat, died due to drowning. At the same time, a 60-year-old man lost his life by drowning in the strong waves of the sea in south-west England. Outcry in France: French government spokeswoman Maud Bregne said in an official statement that at least seven deaths to the extreme heat and heatwave have been confirmed. Five of these people died due to drowning in the sea and swimming pools, while two players died due to heat stroke during sports competitions. Two tourists died due to drowning in the sea on Sunday in the popular resorts of France’s Gironde region. Spain and Italy are also in bad shape, suffering like ‘mid-summer’ in May itself. The scope of this unseasonal and dreadful heat has now spread to Spain and Italy. Spanish Meteorological Department spokesman Ruben del Campo gave a scary statement saying, "In the month of May, we are seeing such temperatures, which usually occur in the middle of the scorching summer (mid-summer) of July-August."

Temperatures in the Spanish city of Seville soared past 38 degrees Celsius over the weekend, marking 5 to 10 degrees Celsius above normal across much of the Iberian Peninsula. Apart from this, the mercury crossed 32 degrees Celsius in Italy’s historical capital Rome on Tuesday, due to which the entire Europe is suffering from the scorching heat.
