Amidst the long-running conflict between Washington and Tehran, US President Donald Trump has given a statement which has created a stir in the entire world. President Trump has indicated that America is currently very close to a very important peace deal with Iran. However, as always, Trump, known for his tough attitude, has also added a warning which has further deepened the clouds of war in the Middle East. Trump has said in clear words that if these diplomatic talks fail for any reason, then America has the option of military action absolutely open and it will not step back from it.
In a very special and explosive interview given to Fox News, US President Donald Trump presented his strategy to the whole world. Trump said that at this time we are moving towards making an excellent agreement, but if that does not happen then we will completely end it through military means. He further stressed that we are very close to a very good agreement. If we make it successful then it will be good for everyone, otherwise we will start directly with war.
Strict guarantee on nuclear weapons: Trump’s biggest condition
Donald Trump made it completely clear during the interview that America prefers to compromise through negotiations, but Washington will not compromise its security and conditions at any cost. He stressed that any agreement with Iran must include the strictest guarantees regarding nuclear weapons. Reiterating his main condition, Trump said that the only guarantee I have for this deal is that Iran will never have nuclear weapons and they have agreed to this condition. Giving priority to the diplomatic route, the US President also mentioned strategic sea routes. He said that I would like to implement this agreement as soon as possible because once the deal is signed, we can immediately open the Strait of Hormuz for trade.
Called Iran a very difficult negotiator, said- I am in no hurry
Talking about the ups and downs of the ongoing talks with Iran, Trump described Tehran as a very difficult negotiator. He acknowledged that progress is being made between the two countries, but its pace is very slow. Revealing his strategy, Trump said that we are gradually getting everything we want from Iran. They are very tough negotiators and the whole process takes a long time. He further said that I am in no hurry in this work, because if you hurry in making any deal then a good and strong agreement will never be reached. However, he also warned of dire consequences if the talks fail and said that if we do not get what we want, we will end it with some more aggressive means.
US President’s big claim: Iran’s army has almost been defeated
While flaunting his military might, the US President claimed that the US military actions taken in recent days have already greatly weakened Iran’s forces. He even said that we had almost defeated his army. Despite this, Trump made it clear that Washington would like to avoid increasing further tension in the region for the time being. Referring to past US military operations, he said that America has always taken extremely decisive action whenever needed. Despite this, a diplomatic solution would be the best option as it would save innocent lives and bring long-term stability to the entire region.
According to White House sources, Trump’s aggressive statement on the Iran deal has come at a time when a very important meeting was held in the Situation Room recently. During this meeting, the draft agreement prepared by American and Iranian negotiators was reviewed, in which President Trump has demanded some major and stringent amendments.
