FC Bayern Munich are reportedly not limiting their attention to Ismael Saibari at PSV Eindhoven. As per a report from the Netherlands, another player from the Dutch champions has also caught the eye of the German giants.

While Bayern are said to have already reached a preliminary agreement with attacking midfielder Ismael Saibari, the club is also believed to be interested in another key figure from PSV’s squad.

According to the Dutch newspaper Eindhoven’s Dagblad, Bayern are keeping tabs on Sergiño Dest. The Bundesliga side have expressed their interest in the right-back, though formal negotiations between the two clubs are yet to take place.

The report suggests that Dest’s transfer fee could be in the range of 20 to 25 million euros. Bayern, however, intend to finalise a sale following a potential signing of Saibari before pursuing Dest’s transfer. The American international, on his part, plans to decide on his future after the World Cup.

Interestingly, Dest is not an unfamiliar name at Säbener Straße. The player had already been linked with Bayern Munich back in 2021, though the club ultimately decided against completing the move at that time.

The 25-year-old joined PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2024 and remains under contract with the Dutch champions until 2028. As per Transfermarkt.de, his current market value is estimated at around €18 million.

Dest’s ability to operate on either flank of the defence makes him a strong fit for Bayern’s squad needs. His versatility is particularly valued within the club’s internal planning as they continue to shape their defensive lineup.

While discussions with Saibari appear to be at a more advanced stage, Bayern’s interest in Dest is reportedly still in its early phases. The club continues to explore ways to strengthen its squad, with particular focus on the full-back positions.

Despite already possessing depth in the form of Konrad Laimer, Josip Stanisic, and Alphonso Davies, Bayern are reportedly searching for additional flexible defensive solutions.

In addition to his adaptability, Dest also brings valuable international experience. Born in the Netherlands, the USA international has previously represented Ajax Amsterdam, FC Barcelona, and AC Milan before joining PSV Eindhoven.

It remains to be seen whether Bayern’s interest will evolve into concrete negotiations, but one thing is evident — following Ismael Saibari, the Bundesliga champions appear to have set their sights on another PSV Eindhoven talent.
