Ingredients for Bombay Masala Sandwich
To make this recipe, you need 3 boiled medium sized potatoes, 1 tablespoon butter, a pinch of turmeric, half teaspoon red chili powder, 2 tablespoons green chutney, 1 cup finely chopped coriander, half cup mint, 1 to 2 green chilies, 2 garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, salt as per taste and some water.
Apart from this, white bread slices, tomato, boiled beetroot, capsicum, thin slices of onion, cheese, sandwich masala and sev will be required.
Prepare potato masala filling like this
First of all, boil the potatoes, peel them and mash them lightly. Now heat butter or oil in a pan and add turmeric and red chili powder to it. After this, mix potatoes and salt and cook well. Finally prepare the mixture by adding green coriander.
How to make green chutney
Blend coriander, mint, green chilli, garlic, lemon juice and salt by adding some water. Keep the chutney thick so that it can be easily applied on the bread.
Prepare the sandwich like this
First apply butter on the bread slices and then spread a good layer of green chutney. Put potato filling on it. Now place the tomato, beetroot, capsicum and onion slices one by one. Then sprinkle sandwich masala and add cheese.
Now close the sandwich by placing the second bread slice. Apply butter in a sandwich toaster and toast it until it becomes golden and crispy.
Give the final touch like this
After toasting, apply some butter on the sandwich. Then make it more delicious by adding green chutney, cheese and sev. Finally, cut the sandwich and serve it with hot chutney and tomato ketchup.
