Israeli tourists are said to flock to the village after military service or training, earning it the name ‘Mini Israel’. The names of shops and cafes here are written in Hebrew, and Hebrew signs and Israeli flags are commonly seen on the streets.

You can take car or bus to reach Kasol. If you want to travel alone, you can travel for Rs 1000. Regular buses are available from Delhi, Chandigarh and Manali to Bhuntar. From Bhuntar one can take a bus or sharing taxi to Kasol, which is only 30 kilometers away.
