New Delhi: In July 2026, this month is going to be very special for the followers of Sanatan Dharma. Many important fasts and festivals will come together in this month, which will maintain a festive atmosphere throughout the month. Gupt Navratri and Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath will be organized in the beginning of July, while Devshayani Ekadashi and Chaturmas will begin at the end of the month. During Chaturmas, all auspicious activities will be stopped and people will engage in worship, chanting, penance and meditation.
Beginning with Sankashti Chaturthi and great virtue of Yogini Ekadashi
The month will start with Krishnapingal Sankashti Chaturthi on 3rd July, in which Lord Ganesha will be worshipped. After this, Kalashtami fast will be observed on 6th July, and the great virtue of Yogini Ekadashi will be celebrated on 10th July. By observing fast on the day of Yogini Ekadashi, the effects of the biggest sins and negative deeds of a person’s life are eliminated.
Special coincidence of Shiva Puja
This month is also very special for Shiva worship. On July 12, there will be a coincidence of Ravi Pradosh fast and monthly Shivratri, which is very dear to Devadhidev Mahadev. After this, Ashadh Amavasya will be celebrated on 14th July, which is considered best for offering prayers to ancestors and peace of mind. Gupt Navratri of Ashadh month will start from 15th July, in which Maa Durga will be worshiped in secret.
Grand Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath
The grandest festival of the month of July will be celebrated as Jagannath Rath Yatra on 16th July, which is falling on the holy day of Ashadh Shukla Dwitiya and Karka Sankranti. After this, Anirudh Vinayak Chaturthi will be celebrated on 17th July, and the day of Bhadali Navami on 22nd July will be very important for marriages and other auspicious functions.

At the end of the month, the great festival of Devshayani Ekadashi will come on 25th July, which is considered the beginning of Chaturmas. After this, Ravi Pradosh fast will be observed on 26th July and Kokila fast will be observed on 28th July. The month of July will conclude on 29th July with the holy celebration of Guru Purnima and Ashadh Purnima, which is considered to be the biggest day to pay respect to one’s Gurus.
