In a recent update, journalist Graeme Bailey reported that Manchester United are among several top Premier League clubs showing interest in signing Club Tijuana’s rising playmaker, Gilberto Mora. The Red Devils are expected to face strong competition from Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool in their pursuit of the Mexican prodigy this summer.

Mora delivered a series of impressive performances for Club Tijuana last season, showcasing his creativity and composure in the attacking third. The young midfielder netted six goals and provided one assist across 20 appearances in all competitions, marking a breakthrough campaign for the teenager.

At just 17 years of age, Mora is already being touted as one of Mexico’s most promising young playmakers. Securing his signature would be a smart long-term investment for Manchester United as they continue to strengthen their squad with future talent.

However, the youngster’s current contract with Club Tijuana runs until the summer of 2029, which could make negotiations difficult and potentially drive up his transfer value during this window.

Mora is known for his skilful dribbling and his ability to pick out key passes in advanced positions. He possesses a powerful long-range shot and is capable of contributing both goals and assists for his team.

While primarily an attacking midfielder, Mora can also be deployed on the left wing if required. Nonetheless, he remains a raw talent who would likely need time to adapt to the intensity of the Premier League should Manchester United secure his services this summer.

In the long term, Mora could add valuable depth and technical quality to Michael Carrick’s attacking options at Old Trafford. Even at this stage, he appears ready to play a rotational role within the squad, offering flexibility and flair.

At 17, Mora’s potential is undeniable, and his trajectory suggests a bright future ahead. Manchester United would be wise to intensify their efforts to bring the young Mexican midfielder to England during the current transfer window.
