Crispy Okra Chips: If you want to try something different and healthy snack from potato or sago chips, then make okra chips. These are crunchy from outside, light and delicious in taste. You can make them in both deep fryer and air fryer methods.
250 grams fresh ladyfinger
2 tbsp gram flour
1 tbsp rice flour
½ tsp turmeric
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp cumin powder
As per taste Salt. If there is moisture left in bhindi, it may become sticky. Now cut off both the ends and cut the ladyfinger into thin slices lengthwise or in round shape.
In a large bowl, add gram flour, rice flour, turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt and mix well.
Add 1–2 teaspoons of oil to the chopped ladyfinger and mix gently. Now add the prepared dry masala and toss well, so that every slice gets evenly coated with the masala.
Deep Fry: Heat oil in a pan. Add ladyfinger a little at a time and fry it on medium flame till it becomes golden and crisp. Then take out on tissue paper.
Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 180°C. Air fry the bhindi for 10–15 minutes. Keep shaking the basket 1–2 times in between, so that it gets evenly crisped from all sides.
Sprinkle chaat masala or mango powder over the prepared bhindi chips. Serve them hot with tomato sauce, green chutney or curd dip. After cooling completely, it can be stored in an airtight container for about a week.
