“Health system of Himachal Pradesh on ventilators..” Jairam Thakur’s sharp attack on Congress government, made serious allegations.

Today, the health system of Himachal Pradesh is on ‘ventilator’, this is a big allegation made by the former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur on the present Congress government. Making a scathing attack on the Congress government, he said that the entire health system of the state has deteriorated under the rule of the government which makes tall claims of providing world class facilities. Expressing concern over the poor condition of health services, Jairam Thakur said that people are not getting even basic facilities.

Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, citing a tragic incident that took place in District Kullu Hospital, raised serious questions on the functioning of the hospital management. He said that a pregnant woman, Rajni Sharma, resident of Balichowki (Sunaru), died in the hospital, after which the family members have made allegations of gross negligence in treatment. Jairam Thakur has demanded strict action against the culprits in this case and asked how long will this continue to happen to mothers and sisters. He also highlighted the tragic death of another woman after an operation in a hospital in Solan district, which exposes the health services of the state.

Jairam Thakur’s attack on the poor system of IGMC

Jai Ram Thakur also expressed deep concern over the condition of the state’s largest referral hospital, Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) Shimla. He said that in case of emergency, the lifts of the hospital remain out of order, due to which attendants have to carry patients, elderly and pregnant women on their shoulders. This situation is a clear evidence of lack of facilities and disorganization in the hospital. Apart from this, he also prominently mentioned the transfers of doctors in Tanda Medical College, no meeting of the Patient Welfare Committee in Ner Chowk Medical College for the last four years and the irregularities in Chammiyana Super Specialty Hospital in Shimla, which shows the poor condition of health services across the state.

Meanwhile, on Sunday (June 26) morning, former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was present in Haryana’s Panchkula with party workers to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular program ‘Mann Ki Baat’. After this program, he praised the country’s indigenous technology and self-reliance in the defense sector. He specifically mentioned important equipment like INS Dunagiri, INS Agray, INS Modifier and C-295 military transport aircraft, which are symbols of India’s growing military power and technological progress. Also, he stressed on the Prime Minister’s call to make water conservation a mass movement and adopt rain water harvesting through ‘Catch the Rain’ campaign, so that water resources can be conserved for future generations.

In his address, Jai Ram Thakur also extended his hearty congratulations and best wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on being awarded Seychelles’ highest environmental honor “Guardian of the Blue Horizon”. He said that this is the 34th international honor received by the Prime Minister, which reflects his global leadership. On this occasion, Jai Ram Thakur said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India has struck a wonderful balance between development and environment protection, which is a strong testimony to the resolve of ‘Developed and Green India’. This honor underlines India’s environmental protection efforts and its growing reputation on the global stage.
