Kylian Mbappe has received glowing praise from Brazilian football legend Ronaldo Nazario after his outstanding performances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The France captain has made an impressive start to the tournament, scoring four goals and providing two assists in just three group-stage matches. His performances have been a major reason behind France finishing top of Group I with a perfect record.

Ronaldo, widely regarded as one of football's greatest strikers, said Mbappe's style of play reminds him of his own during his best years. He highlighted the French forward's explosive pace, sharp finishing, and ability to influence matches at the highest level.

Speaking to L'Equipe, Ronaldo also praised Lionel Messi, describing both players as footballers whose impact goes far beyond statistics. He believes Mbappe has established himself as one of the sport's elite talents and is ready to carry the legacy of previous generations.

France scored 10 goals during the group stage, with Mbappe leading the attack. Although he did not score against Norway, he contributed two assists and remained one of the team's standout performers.

Mbappe is also helping Real Madrid dominate the tournament's scoring charts. The Spanish club's players have combined for 11 goals, with Vinicius Junior adding four, Jude Bellingham scoring twice for England, and Arda Guler contributing for Turkey.

France will now face Sweden in the Round of 32 as Didier Deschamps' side looks to reach a third consecutive FIFA World Cup final.
