NEET UG Result 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has provided an update regarding the release of the NEET UG 2026 re-examination results. The window to challenge the NEET UG provisional answer key closed on June 28. The countdown to the declaration of the final answer key and the results has now begun. According to the NTA, work on finalizing the results is currently underway, and they will be declared "as soon as possible." News agency ANI reports that over 10,000 objections were received regarding the provisional answer key, and each objection is being meticulously reviewed.

The NTA conducted the NEET UG re-examination on June 21 following a paper leak incident. Approximately 20 lakh (2 million) candidates appeared for the exam, which was held amidst stringent security arrangements. The NTA uploaded the NEET UG answer key to its official website on June 25, coinciding with the opening of the objection window. Candidates were given until June 28 to submit their objections.

In a notice, the NTA stated that this year, it initiated the process of raising objections to the answer key simultaneously with the release of the provisional answer key, even while the scanning of OMR sheets was still in progress. The NTA explained that this measure was taken to ensure transparency, allowing every candidate an early and open opportunity to view the provisional answer keys for all four sets and to raise objections regarding any questions they believed required reconsideration.

The agency further stated that by allowing the expert review of objections to proceed alongside the scanning process—rather than waiting for the OMR scanning to conclude—its objective is to release the final answer key and declare the results as quickly as possible.
