Redmi K90 Ultra Price and Availability

In China, both the 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 256GB variants of this new Redmi smartphone have been priced at CNY 2,799 i.e. around Rs 40,000. Specifications and Features of Redmi K90 Ultra

Display

The Redmi K90 Ultra with dual-SIM support runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. The smartphone features a 6.83-inch AMOLED 1.5K (1,280×2,772 pixels) display, which supports a refresh rate of up to 165Hz, a touch sampling rate of 480Hz and an instantaneous touch sampling rate of 3,500Hz. Its display is available with HDR 10+, HDR Vivid and Dolby Vision support. The company claims that this panel can offer a peak brightness of 3,500 nits.

For performance, the new Redmi smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, built on TSMC’s second-generation 3nm process. This chipset comes with Adreno GPU and Qualcomm’s AI engine. The phone also features a discrete D2 AI gaming graphics chip to boost resolution and frame rate during gaming. The phone offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 inbuilt storage. It features an active cooling fan, which is claimed to reduce the phone’s temperature by an average of 10°C in less than 100 seconds.

Camera

Talking about the camera setup, the Redmi K90 Ultra has a dual camera unit at the rear, with a 1/1.55-inch sensor paired with a 50-megapixel Light Hunter 800 primary camera. An 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera is provided along with the main sensor. The smartphone has a 20-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is rated IP66, IP68 and IP69 for protection against dust and water.

Connectivity options

For connectivity, this smartphone has features like 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, NAVIK and GLONASS. The smartphone features dual symmetrical stereo speakers tuned by Bose, which come with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio certifications.

For power backup, the Redmi smartphone packs an 8,550mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging support. A 100W GaN charger will be available in the phone’s retail box. The phone also supports 22.5W wired reverse charging. It has Xiaomi’s own Surge P3 charging chip and Surge G2 battery management chip.
