Tezzbuzz Desk- Airtel has introduced a new recharge plan of ₹200 for its prepaid users. This plan has been brought especially for those customers who want the benefit of OTT streaming along with data at a low price. This new offer seems to directly compete with Reliance Jio’s ₹200 plan.
28 days validity and 30GB high-speed data
Under this Airtel plan, users are being given a validity of 28 days. Also it includes a total of 30GB high-speed data. The company says that this plan is useful for those users who want both additional data and entertainment.
Unlimited 5G data also benefits
In this plan, users will also get the benefit of unlimited 5G data, but this facility will be available only in those areas where Airtel’s 5G network is present and the user must have a 5G smartphone. 5G data can be used after the main data is exhausted.
Access to 15+ OTT apps
With this plan of Airtel, users will also get access to many OTT platforms. It is said to include more than 18 OTT platforms through Airtel Xstream Play Premium, which includes Lionsgate Play, SonyLIV, Aha Premium, SunNXT and other popular apps.
Apart from this, the benefit of JioHotstar Mobile Subscription is also being given, through which users can enjoy live sports, movies and web series.
Charging details after exhausting data
If the user exceeds the 30GB data limit, then 50 paise per MB will be charged. This feature is for those users who want to use additional data immediately when needed.
Direct competition with Jio’s ₹200 plan
This new plan from Airtel directly challenges Jio’s ₹200 OTT pass. This plan of Jio also comes with 28 days validity and 30GB data, in which OTT benefits like JioHotstar, YouTube Premium and Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition are available. Overall, access to about 16 OTT apps is given in it.
The competition between Airtel and Jio in the ₹200 segment has intensified. Both the companies are trying to provide more data and OTT benefits to the users at a lower price, due to which the customers are getting better options.
