According to investigators, a forensic examination of Siya's mobile phones revealed internet searches related to the Indore murder case involving Sonam Raghuvanshi. Police allege that she specifically searched for the mistakes Sonam had reportedly made during the investigation, suggesting she was studying the case before planning the crime. Internet Searches Raise New Questions
Police also found that Siya had searched online whether women are physically assaulted while in police custody. Officials say these searches were recovered from the browsing history of both her mobile phones.
Two days ago, investigators took Siya to her residence, where they recovered a second mobile phone from her bedroom.
A Snapchat conversation between Siya and one of her friends has also gone viral on social media. In the chat, dated May 25, Siya allegedly requested her friend's Aadhaar card to make wedding-related bookings.
However, one message has drawn particular attention. According to reports, she wrote: "Aadhaar card front back bhej de. For wedding tickets jo hone nai wali par fir bhi bhej de (Send me the front and back of your Aadhaar card for booking tickets for a wedding that is never going to happen, but send it anyway)."
Police allege that on June 18, Siya Goyal and her alleged boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary, pushed Ketan Agarwal into a 400-foot-deep gorge at Lohagad Fort near Pune, resulting in his death.
After the completion of police custody, a Pune court remanded both accused to 14 days of judicial custody. They are currently lodged in Yerawada Jail until July 16.
