RPSC SI Re-Exam 2026: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has taken a significant decision providing major relief to candidates of the SI Recruitment-2021. The Commission has announced that all candidates who had applied online for the original 2021 recruitment will be permitted to provisionally appear for the re-examination scheduled for September 20, 2026; however, candidates must update certain necessary information in their applications. Additionally, providing consent for the use of their photograph, signature, and thumb impression, as well as verifying the application via OTP, is mandatory. The Commission has clarified that applications from candidates who fail to complete this process will not be accepted.

SI Recruitment Exam to be held on September 20
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission stated that the re-examination for SI Recruitment-2021 will be conducted on September 20, 2026. Only those candidates who had applied online for the original recruitment notification issued in 2021 are eligible to appear for this exam. The Commission has decided to allow all such candidates to sit for the exam provisionally. To do so, candidates must update the required details in their applications between July 8 and July 22, 2026. The Commission has also clarified that candidates who had already updated their applications in accordance with the press note issued on May 8, 2026, will not need to modify their applications again.

Consent for use of photograph, signature, and thumb impression is mandatory.
A significant change has been introduced in the application process this time. The Commission has made it mandatory for all candidates to provide consent for the use of the photograph, signature, and thumb impression currently stored in their One-Time Registration (OTR) profile. When candidates modify their applications, a self-declaration will appear on the screen. After accepting this declaration, the application must be verified using an OTP sent to the registered mobile number. The Commission has clarified that an application will not be considered valid without OTP verification, and the candidate will be solely responsible for this.

**KYC Must Be Completed in OTR Before Modification**

The Commission has stated that before making any modifications to the application, all candidates must complete the KYC process within their One-Time Registration (OTR). During the KYC process, candidates are required to upload a live photo, record their thumb impression, and upload their signature. Modifications to the application can only be made after these procedures are completed.

**Applications Can Be Updated via SSO ID**

Candidates can modify their applications by logging in with their SSO ID and navigating to the 'My Recruitment' section. If a candidate's OTR has been migrated from an old SSO ID to a new one, they can retrieve their application using the 'Fetch Application Form' option and make the necessary changes.

**Grievances Can Be Filed Until July 15**

If a candidate encounters any technical issues while transferring their application to a new SSO ID or OTR, they can file a grievance on the Rajasthan Public Service Commission's candidate grievance portal by July 15, 2026. The Commission has urged candidates not to wait until the last minute in the event of technical problems but to file their grievances in a timely manner so that they can be resolved.

**Changes Allowed Only for Specific Details**

The Commission has clarified that modifications to the application will be restricted to specific details this time. Candidates will be able to update their mobile number, e-mail ID, correspondence address, live photo, thumb impression, and signature. However, no modifications will be permitted regarding age, educational qualifications, reservation category, or other core application details. All such details will remain valid as per the original application submitted in 2021.

No Changes to Eligibility or Syllabus
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission has clarified that all eligibility criteria for the SI Recruitment-2021 will remain unchanged. The recruitment process will be conducted in accordance with the original advertisement issued on February 3, 2021, the corrigendum issued on June 7, 2021, and the press note regarding the exam syllabus issued on May 22, 2026; essentially, candidates need not worry about any new issues concerning eligibility or the exam syllabus.

Decision Following High Court Order
The Commission's Secretary stated that this decision has been taken in compliance with the interim order passed by the Jaipur Bench of the Rajasthan High Court on July 2, 2026. Under this order, all original candidates of the SI Recruitment-2021 have been granted the opportunity to appear in the exam provisionally; however, completing all online procedures prescribed by the Commission remains mandatory for final participation in the exam.
Otherwise, the application will not be accepted.
