Shangrila Motors Pvt Ltd, the authorised distributor of Leapmotor vehicles in Nepal, has announced that the Leapmotor B03 electric SUV is on its way to the country and is expected to make its Nepal debut at the upcoming NAIMA Mobility Expo. The company said the first shipment has departed China, with the model expected to be offered in two variants featuring different battery capacities and equipment levels. Marketed as the B03 in international markets, including Nepal, and A10 in China, the electric SUV is built on a front-wheel-drive platform powered by a 100kW electric motor producing 200Nm of torque. Key features include an 18-inch alloy wheel package, a 14.6-inch 2.5K HD infotainment touchscreen, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and a 510-litre boot. Shangrila Motors expects the B03 to compete in Nepal's growing affordable electric SUV segment, where demand for feature-rich EVs continues to rise. The launch follows strong sales of the model's Chinese counterpart, the A10, which helped Leapmotor record 93,376 vehicle sales in June alone, according to the company. Leapmotor is backed by global automotive group Stellantis, whose portfolio includes brands such as Jeep, Peugeot and Maserati. The Chinese EV manufacturer says it has sold more than 1.5 million vehicles worldwide and operates over 1,700 sales and service outlets across more than 40 countries, supporting its international expansion and after-sales network.
