Leeds United have begun their summer transfer activity with the acquisition of Harry Wilson on a four-year contract. The Welsh winger, who departed Fulham upon the expiry of his deal, arrives at Elland Road as a free agent following an impressive Premier League campaign in which he registered 10 goals and seven assists across 36 appearances last season.

Although most of Leeds’ transfer business is expected to take place after the World Cup, the club acted swiftly to secure Wilson’s signature and have also been pushing to finalise a deal for their midfield target, Shea Charles. As reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds have already seen two bids for Charles turned down by Southampton, with the most recent offer valued at £23 million plus add-ons. Negotiations between the two clubs remain ongoing.

Meanwhile, with Karl Darlow poised to complete a move to Manchester United, Leeds will need to recruit at least one new goalkeeper. Several potential candidates are understood to be under consideration to fill that position.

In preparation for the upcoming season, a potential dream starting XI has been drawn up for the opening-weekend fixture against Nottingham Forest, reflecting how the team could shape up if Leeds manage to secure their top transfer targets. This notional lineup provides a glimpse into the club’s ambitions for the new campaign.

Wilson’s arrival marks an encouraging start to the summer window and injects early momentum into the club’s transfer plans. Further signings are anticipated as talks progress and the transfer window advances.
