Uma Bharti wrote in her post, “After the announcement of Ashutosh Tiwari’s name from Datia, I heard Narottam Mishra saying that he will join Ashutosh’s nomination. This will be an ideal example. I respect and love Narottam Mishra a lot.
It is noteworthy that BJP has made Ashutosh Tiwari its candidate in place of former Home Minister Narottam Mishra for Datia Assembly by-election.
After the announcement of the candidate, supporters of Narottam Mishra had blocked the national highway. Many policemen including the Superintendent of Police were injured in the stone pelting incident that took place during the demonstration. After this, Narottam Mishra met Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, BJP State President and MLA Hemant Khandelwal and Regional Organization General Secretary Ajay Jamwal at the Chief Minister’s residence.
The strategy, organizational issues and election preparations for Datia by-election were discussed in the meeting. Describing the organization as paramount, the party leaders said that all the workers will stand with the party’s decision with full commitment.
After the meeting, BJP said that some workers had expressed their emotional resignation regarding candidate selection, but the organization has not received any formal resignation. The party made it clear that the resignation of any worker will not be accepted.
The BJP organization has appealed to all the workers to unite and participate in the election campaign. The party says that all the workers will work with full enthusiasm and dedication to make BJP candidate Ashutosh Tiwari victorious. BJP leaders have also claimed victory in Datia by-election by record votes.
Voting for Datia Assembly by-election will be held on July 30, while the counting of votes will be done on August 3.
