Hearing was held in Jabalpur High Court on Monday in the long pending case to reservation in promotion in Madhya Pradesh. The court has clearly refused to stop the promotion process or provide interim relief to any party. The special thing is that during the hearing, Acting Chief Justice Vivek Rusia has recused himself from hearing the case.

The court said that now the special bench will conduct the final hearing regarding the reservation process in promotion. The Acting Chief Justice can constitute a special bench to hear this matter in a day or two, which will hear the matter this week itself. Only after which further decision will be taken.

During the hearing, the court refused to stop the promotion process for the time being. At the same time, Acting Chief Justice Vivek Rusia said that he would first listen to R.B. Rai has appeared as an advocate in the case. Since in the present case also the same R.B. The debate is to be held on the basis of Rai case, hence in order to maintain impartiality and judicial decorum, he recused himself from the hearing of this case.

Senior lawyers from both sides were present in the hearing.

During the hearing in the case of promotion process in the High Court, Advocate General Prashant Singh and senior Supreme Court advocate C.S. appeared on behalf of the state government. Vaidyanathan presented his side. Meanwhile, senior advocates Manoj Sharma and Naman Nagarath presented their arguments on behalf of the petitioners. On behalf of Ajak Sangh, senior advocate Rameshwar Singh Thakur, Vinayak Prasad Shah and other advocates were also present in the court.

When will the next hearing of the case take place?

As per the order of the High Court, now a special bench will be formed to hear this case. This special bench will give a final decision after a detailed hearing on the dispute to reservation in promotion.
