Voter List: If your name is on the voter list, take note: you no longer need to wait for a BLO (Booth Level Officer) to fill out the Enumeration Form under the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) process. The ECI (Election Commission of India) has launched this online facility for eligible voters.

Voter List Update: With the advent of digital services, there is often no need to step out for most tasks; many things can now be done easily from the comfort of home. If your name is on the voter list, this news is highly relevant to you. You will no longer need to make rounds of government offices or wait for a BLO to submit forms, as the ECI has introduced an online facility to submit Enumeration Forms under the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) process for the convenience of voters.

How to fill the form online?

To fill out the form online, the Election Commission has provided a facility on its official website. You simply need to follow a few necessary steps, such as:

• Log in to the portal using your registered mobile number or EPIC (Voter ID) number.
• An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number at the time of login.
• This will verify your identity.
• Next, select the 'Fill Enumeration Form' option.
• You will then be asked for certain necessary details; fill them in carefully.
• After filling out the form, the system will direct you to the e-Sign page.
• An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number once again at this stage.
• Once you enter the OTP, your form will be submitted online.

Important rules for first-time voters

If you are filling out Form-6 to become a voter for the first time, be aware that under the new rules, you must also disclose whether or not your parents participated in the previous SIR process.

Which voters can avail of this facility?

Please note that this facility is available to voters whose names are already on the voter list. For this, the voter's mobile number must be registered in the Election Commission's records.

• If you are filling out the form online, there is no need to submit it again once it has been submitted.
• If you have successfully submitted the form, there is no need to hand it over to the BLO offline.
• Ensure that you fill in all details accurately.

• If you are unable to fill out the form online due to technical issues, you will need to contact the BLO for your area.
