WhatsApp provides four options for profile photo visibility. 'Everyone' makes your profile photo visible to every WhatsApp user. 'My Contacts' displays your photo only to the contacts saved on your phone.

'My Contacts Except...': This option shows your profile photo to everyone except those you have excluded from the list. Meanwhile, the 'Nobody' option is for those who do not wish to show their profile photo to anyone at all.

If you want to show your profile photo only to select people, follow these steps: First, open WhatsApp. Next, go to the three dots at the top (on Android) or 'Settings' (on iPhone). Tap on 'Settings', then open the 'Privacy' option. Go to 'Profile Photo'. Finally, select the option that suits your needs—'Everyone', 'My Contacts', 'My Contacts Except...', or 'Nobody'.

It is worth noting that strangers often try to infer details about a person—such as their identity, profession, family, or other private information—simply by looking at their profile photo.
