This is the reason why it is counted among the most exciting road trips of India. To reach Zuluk, most tourists start their journey from Gangtok or Siliguri and New Jalpaiguri.

The nearest airport here is Bagdogra and railway station is New Jalpaiguri. From here one has to travel about 6 to 8 hours by road. Being a border area, a permit is mandatory to visit Zuluk. Indian citizens have to take Protected Area Permit (PAP) and foreign tourists have to take Restricted Area Permit (RAP). In many cases, Voter ID or passport is preferred over Aadhar card for permits.

Homestays run by local families are available to stay in Zuluk. Here the simple mountain life, local food, momos, noodles, rice, pulses and hot tea with butter make the tourist’s journey memorable. This place is special for those who want to feel nature, adventure and peace together.
