The new smartphone series of Chinese smartphone maker Redmi can be launched soon. Some leaked information has been received about Redmi K100 series. The high-end model of this series may have a 9,000 mAh battery. Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 can be given as processor in this smartphone.
In a post on microblogging platform Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that an engineering prototype of a smartphone from Redmi's upcoming smartphone series is being tested with a major hardware upgrade. It could be Redmi K100 Pro or Redmi K100 Pro Max. This smartphone has a flat display with rounded corners and support for a refresh rate of 185 Hz. New technology can be used in its display for more sharpness and visual clarity.
The rear camera unit of this smartphone can have a 200-megapixel primary camera. A 50 megapixel periscope telephoto camera can be provided with it. In comparison, the rear camera unit of Redmi K90 Pro Max has a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The upcoming smartphone may have Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 as its processor. In this, a separate display chip can be provided for better performance during gaming. This smartphone may have a battery of around 9,000 mAh with support for 100 W wired charging. It can be provided with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
Redmi Note 17 series has been launched earlier this week. Apart from the standard model, this series includes Redmi Note 17 Pro. Redmi Note 17 has Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 as its processor. It will replace Redmi Note 15. This smartphone can record videos at up to 1,080p/30 fps. Redmi Note 17 features a 7-inch full HD+ (1,080 x 2,396 pixels) OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Redmi Note 17 Pro of this series has a 9,000 mAh battery. It runs on Xiaomi's HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. The dual rear camera unit of this smartphone has a 50-megapixel primary camera.
