Next Gen Toyota Hilux Teaser: Toyota Hilux, famous for its strength and powerful performance in the Indian automobile market, is now ready to come in a new and modern avatar. Toyota India has officially released the teaser of its new lifestyle pickup truck.
In this short video clip, a glimpse of the front and rear of the vehicle is shown, which indicates that this time the company is going to make big and revolutionary changes in its design. This new pickup will be officially introduced in India on July 28, 2026.
The design will look ‘futuristic’ Style
According to the information received from the teaser, radical changes have been made in the front face of the new Toyota Hilux. In line with the models available in the global markets, the face of the new Hilux to be launched in India looks more aggressive and futuristic than ever before.
However, the side profile and overall structure of the vehicle is expected to remain the same as the current model, but the tail section may get minor improvements at the rear. The pickup will continue to feature its signature two-cab configuration, making it suitable for both city and off-roading.

Major changes inside the cabin
The biggest attraction of the new Hilux is going to be its interior. The company has completely redesigned its cabin and dashboard. Now it will get two large 12.3-inch screens, one of which will be the digital instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment system. This is a huge upgrade over the old 7.8-inch unit.
The special thing is that this new infotainment system will also support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which will make the driving experience more convenient and modern.
No mechanical changes to the engine
Even though major changes have been made in the design and features, Toyota has adopted a no-change policy on the engine front. The new Hilux will get the same old and reliable 2.8-litre diesel engine, which is also used in the Toyota Fortuner. This engine is capable of generating power of 201bhp and peak torque of 500Nm with automatic transmission.
For off-roading enthusiasts, it will retain the facility of low-range transfer case. Apart from this, the company can also add 48V mild-hybrid system to it to increase fuel efficiency.
What will be the price of the new Hilux?
It is estimated that the ex-showroom price of the new Toyota Hilux can be between Rs 30.00 lakh to Rs 38.00 lakh. In India, it will compete mainly with vehicles like Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. This new offering from Toyota in the lifestyle pickup segment is expected to attract customers who are looking for a vehicle with premium features along with a powerful off-roader.
