APSC APGCL Recruitment 2026: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of Junior Managers at the Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGCL). What is the salary?
Selected candidates will receive a salary in accordance with the 7th Pay Commission.
Pay Scale: ₹25,000 to ₹92,000 per month
Grade Pay: ₹12,100
In addition, Dearness Allowance (DA) and other government allowances will be provided.
Who can apply?
Candidates must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam. A Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate must be submitted during the application process.
Regarding educational qualifications, candidates must possess a full-time diploma in the relevant engineering branch from a recognized institution or an AICTE-approved polytechnic. A minimum of 60% marks is required for General category candidates, while 50% marks are required for SC/ST category candidates.
What is the age limit?
As of January 1, 2026, candidates must be between 21 and 38 years of age.
Age relaxation for reserved categories will be as follows:
SC/ST candidates: 5 years
OBC/MOBC candidates: 3 years
PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates: 10 years
Ex-servicemen: Relaxation applicable as per rules
What is the selection process?
The recruitment process may include a written examination, a screening test, or an interview. The Commission has stated that the final format of the selection process will be announced separately at a later stage, based on the number of applications received.
If required, the examination may be conducted at various centers, including Guwahati, Jorhat, Silchar, Nagaon, Tezpur, and Kokrajhar.
Points to note
Candidates currently employed in government service must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their department at the time of application. Selected candidates will also be required to undergo a medical examination prior to appointment. Additionally, candidates must submit a declaration regarding 'Small Family Norms'.
