New Delhi. Sonam Wangchuk’s wife Gitanjali J. Wife Gitanjali J. Angmo said that no medicine should be given to Sonam Wangchuk without my and my doctor’s consent. Angmo said that ‘he is in Safdarjung Hospital. He said that I have forbidden him from giving me anything without my approval. No treatment should begin without my approval. If anything happens, I will hold everyone responsible. He said that he was absolutely fine yesterday. There was no need to bring him to the hospital. This is my right under Article 32. Nothing can be given without my and my doctor’s consent.

Gitanjali J. Angmo, wife of Sonam Wangchuk, admitted in Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi, has clearly said that without the consent of the family, doctors and their consent, Wangchuk should not be given any medicine orally or intravenously. He posted on X that he himself is present in the hospital and is keeping a close watch on Wangchuk’s health. Actually, Sonam Wangchuk’s (Safdarjung Hospital) health deteriorated during her 21-day hunger strike, after which she was admitted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi on Saturday. Delhi Police said that this step was taken after the advice of doctors and instructions of Delhi High Court. Wangchuk had been on a fast since June 28 in support of the ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar over irregularities in the NEET exam and deaths of students.

Delhi Deputy Commissioner Sachin Sharma told PTI that Wangchuk has been admitted to the hospital on the orders of the High Court and is being given necessary treatment. According to hospital sources, Wangchuk has become weak due to the long hunger strike and dehydration. Although at present his condition is said to be stable, but doctors are constantly monitoring him. During the police action, some protesters tried to stop him, due to which the atmosphere heated up for some time, but the police exercised restraint and took Wangchuk to the hospital.

Sonam Wangchuk’s medical team has issued a new update regarding her health. According to doctors, at present all his vital health signs are normal. However, investigation has also revealed that his blood pressure is lower than normal and blood sugar is also lower than normal. At the same time, his ECG report has come normal.
