New Delhi: Delhi Government Minister Kapil Mishra participated in Republic India’s ‘Manthan Summit 2026’ and presented his vision for the development of the capital. During this, he not only praised the work being done in Delhi, but also made sharp attacks on the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government. Kapil Mishra clearly said that Delhi is the face of India and the world assesses India only by looking at Delhi.
‘Delhi was pushed into the dark ages’
Taking aim at the AAP government, Kapil Mishra said that the development of Delhi had completely come to a standstill in the last 10 years. He alleged that ‘Tu-Tu Main-Main’ and unrestrained allegations and counter-allegations had become the identity of Delhi at that time. He said, “AAP had sent Delhi to a dark age, where the pace of development had stopped. We are working to fill the same big gap and bring Delhi back on track.”
Solution to people’s problems is priority
When Kapil Mishra was asked about the most burning issues of Delhi such as pollution, water shortage and cleaning of Yamuna, he said that the government is completely serious about these problems. He claimed that the height of the mountains of garbage that had been standing in Delhi for years was decreasing every day. He said that our priorities are directly to the public and we are working in the right direction to address those questions.
‘The difference between ban and welcome is our identity’
During the summit, when Mishra was asked to compare the one year tenure of the old government, he taunted in a very filmy style. He said, “During the tenure of AAP, during Chhath Puja, there was a board put up on the banks of Yamuna that ‘coming here is prohibited’. At the same time, during our government this year, a board was put up on the banks of Yamuna that ‘those doing Chhath Puja are welcome’. This is the change that those who were sitting there with a ban, we are sitting there with our eyes closed. This big change that has come in the last one year has created a new identity for our government.”
