The condition of a 21-year-old woman, who was seriously injured during the Cockroach Janata Party protest on Monday, has shown encouraging improvement, the hospital said. He is admitted to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital. The patient has been successfully extubated (removed from the ventilator) and is now breathing on her own. She is conscious and responding properly to instructions, while MRI scan reports of her brain and spine are normal.
His clinical condition has been steadily improving since the start of treatment, and he is being given comprehensive medical care under the close supervision of the team of doctors. She is the only patient admitted to RML Hospital in connection with this incident. The hospital said all necessary treatment and constant monitoring is being provided.
The leaders reached the hospital and inquired about the condition of the injured.
On Tuesday, Union Health Minister JP Nadda visited the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital in the national capital to meet those injured during the police action following the CJP's protest march on Monday. Nadda reached the hospital and interacted with people admitted for treatment after being injured during the protest. During his visit, the Union Minister also held a meeting with doctors to review the condition of the injured and the medical care being provided to them. Nadda left the hospital after reviewing the treatment arrangements and meeting the injured persons.
Apart from Nadda, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi along with Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra met the injured protesters at RML hospital.
Protest turned violent, more than 118 policemen injured
The CJP's march towards Parliament turned violent on Monday, with Delhi Police claiming that more than 118 police personnel were injured in the clashes. About 60 protesters are also reported injured. According to police, the protesters allegedly threw stones and other objects at policemen, attempted to break barricades, vandalized police and government vehicles and damaged public property. Police have registered an FIR against unidentified persons in connection with alleged vandalism and stone pelting at Connaught Place and Parliament Street.
