Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday inaugurated the new headquarters building of Uttar Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority, built at a cost of more than ₹200 crore, in Lucknow. On this occasion, the Chief Minister launched the website of the authority and honored the personnel of SDRF, PAC and fire service who made excellent contribution in relief and rescue operations during the disaster by giving them citations.

The Chief Minister said, hearty congratulations to everyone on the occasion of the inauguration of the newly constructed building of Uttar Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority in Lucknow. Now Uttar Pradesh is fully prepared with its full capacity to reduce the loss of life and property to the minimum level in case of any disaster. I believe that only our alertness, preparation and awareness towards disaster can reduce the loss of life and property to the minimum level. It should be an integral part of the daily life of all of us.
He further said, Uttar Pradesh is the first state in the country, which has included human-wildlife conflict in the category of disaster and has made arrangements to provide relief and assistance to the affected people. Our resolve is to make Uttar Pradesh a state which is capable of facing any type of disaster effectively. Where every citizen can live with the confidence that in times of crisis, along with the government, he himself is fully prepared and alert.
Also said, if from time to time we connect disaster caution and vigilance with a comprehensive public awareness campaign through social media platforms, digital media, visual media and print media, then its impact will be more widespread.
