Maruti Suzuki YMC

Maruti Suzuki is working on its first 3-row electric MPV. It has been given the codename ‘YMC’. It can be presented to the world by the end of 2026. While its sales are expected to start in 2027. This car will be built on the ‘HEARTECT-e’ skateboard platform. In this, customers will get two battery options of 49 kWh and 61 kWh, which will give a good range of about 500 km once fully charged.

Toyota YMC-Based MPV

In partnership with Maruti Suzuki, Toyota will also launch its own electric MPV on the same platform. This model of Toyota will be mechanically exactly like Maruti YMC. However, its external look and design will be completely different and new. This vehicle will also get the same 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs, which will be capable of giving a range of 500 km. Its cabin will have features like 10.25-inch digital driver display, powered front seats and ventilated seats.

MG Hector Hawk EV

JSW MG Motor India is preparing to launch the full-electric version of its new Hector Hawk around the festive season this year. This electric SUV will be based on MG Electric SUV’s ‘ADAPT’ platform. Its length will be 4,745 mm and wheelbase will be 2,810 mm. This car will have a 56.7 kWh battery pack and front-mounted electric motor, which will generate power of 136bhp. This car will give a real-world range of 450 to 500 km on a single charge.

Tata Safari EV

Tata Motors has started testing its most premium electric SUV Safari EV on Indian roads. It can be launched around the festive season, which will be based on the company’s new ‘Acti.ev+’ platform. In this car, larger battery packs of 65 kWh and 75 kWh like Harrier EV can be found, which will give a range of more than 500 km on a single charge. Apart from this, Tata’s latest ‘TiDAL’ electronic architecture technology will be available in the car.

Tata Avinya 3-Row SUV

Tata Motors is preparing a large three-row premium electric SUV under its new luxury electric brand ‘Avinya’. Very powerful battery pack options ranging from 65 kWh to 80 kWh capacity can be found in this luxurious SUV. Its production will be done at Tata’s new Panapakkam plant. This premium model is expected to hit the market by the year 2027.
