VHP Holds Secret Meeting In Delhi: The Ram temple offerings theft case in Ayodhya has shocked the entire country. A two-day secret meeting of Vishwa Hindu Parishad i.e. VHP is being held in Delhi amid the Ram Temple offering theft controversy. More than 200 officials are present in this confidential meeting. Many senior leaders including the top leadership of the organization are participating in this meeting. The meeting will continue till Monday, in which there will be a detailed discussion on the settlement of Ram temple donation dispute, further strategy, roadmap to remove the shortcomings of donation management in other temples and organizational issues.

The meeting of the Central Managing Committee and Board of Trustees of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is being held for the first time with complete secrecy at its headquarters in RK Puram, Delhi. Last month, the proposed meeting in Ayodhya was postponed due to controversy. This meeting is not just organizational but can prove to be an important step towards saving the credibility of the Ram Mandir movement and establishing transparency in Hindu religious institutions.

Sharp questions can be raised in this regard by saints and officials in the meeting. Therefore it has been kept confidential. Otherwise, in previous meetings, information about the meeting and its issues have been made public a few days in advance. According to sources, in this meeting the organization can prepare a roadmap to remove the shortcomings of donation collection and its management in other temples. Also, the focus will be on dispute resolution and future strategy.

At the same time, VHP has termed the Ram Temple offering theft controversy as shameful. The organization believes that it is important to maintain the sanctity of the sacred donation of Ram Lala. The meeting is likely to focus on reforms like transparent accounting system, stringent standard operating procedures, CCTV surveillance and regular audits.

The donation theft controversy started in the first week of June 2026, when SP alleged that an amount ranging from Rs 5 to 7.5 crore was embezzled from the temple’s donation boxes. The trust initially rejected these allegations, but after an internal audit and doubts, the seriousness of the matter came to light. The initial report made shocking revelations, in which CCTV footage recorded incidents of employees hiding wads of notes in socks, pants and bathrooms. Between April 27 and June 5, evidence of theft was found on about 70 occasions. Ayodhya Police registered an FIR on June 25 on the complaint of trust member Krishnamohan. Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and Trustee Anil Mishra have resigned.

In the case, Avinash Shukla, Anukalp Mishra, Lavkush Mishra, Manish Kumar Yadav, Karunesh Pandey, Ramashankar Mishra, Subhash Srivastava and Ramshankar Yadav alias Tinnu (former driver of Champat Rai). Eight of them were arrested and sent to judicial custody. Around Rs 80 lakh has been recovered so far.
