Apple One: Costs associated with music licensing are steadily rising. Consequently, the company has decided to hike the prices of Apple Music and Apple One.
Apple One: Apple recently raised the prices of its iPads and MacBooks. Now, the company has also increased the cost of Apple One and Apple Music subscription plans. It is worth noting that the earlier price hike for iPads and MacBooks was driven by the rising costs of RAM and storage. By raising the prices of these subscription plans as well, the company has dealt another blow to its users. Let’s take a look at the new prices.
Why the price hike?
According to Apple, the cost of music licensing is continuously increasing. This is why the company decided to raise the prices for Apple Music and Apple One. However, users will now get access to some additional features along with the increased pricing.
Apple One plans also get costlier.
Reports indicate that Apple has also raised the prices of its Apple One bundle subscriptions. This plan offers access to services like Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, iCloud+, and Apple Fitness+ under a single membership.
New price for the Individual Plan: ₹195.
New price for the Family Plan: ₹295.
New price for the Premier Plan: ₹995.
It is worth noting that Apple is not the only company to raise prices for streaming services. Previously, Spotify also increased the prices of its Individual and Family subscription plans in several countries, including the US.
Apple Music gets costlier
According to media reports, Apple Music users will now have to spend more than before. The company has increased the prices of most of its main plans. Specifically, the price of the Individual Plan has been raised from ₹119 to ₹139 per month. Meanwhile, the price of the Family Plan has been raised from ₹179 to ₹229 per month, and the Student Plan price has been increased from ₹59 to ₹69 per month.
It is believed that prices for other streaming plans could also see hikes in the near future. However, for now, Apple has certainly disappointed its users in India with these price increases.
