Important information has been issued for students preparing for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses at Delhi University (DU). The university has issued a stern warning to candidates against uploading documents that have been created with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digitally altered, or heavily edited during the admission process. DU has clearly stated that if a student's documents are found to be fake or tampered with, their admission will be cancelled immediately. Furthermore, legal action may also be initiated in such cases if deemed necessary. Therefore, students are advised to upload only authentic and original documents.
**Strict Action for Uploading AI-Altered Documents**
Delhi University has adopted a strict stance to ensure the admission process remains transparent and fair. According to the notification issued by the university, it has come to light that some candidates have uploaded documents generated via AI or digitally modified during the application process. Treating this as a serious matter, DU has clarified that any form of tampering with marksheets, certificates, identity cards, or any other documents will not be tolerated. Students are required to upload only clear and legible scanned copies of original documents.
**Verification via Advanced Systems**
The university stated that all documents will be scrutinized using an advanced verification system to easily detect fake or digitally altered documents. If a candidate is found to have submitted incorrect documents at any stage, their registration or admission will be cancelled without prior notice. In such instances, the admission fee paid will not be refunded, and legal action may be taken against the concerned student if necessary.
**Ban on AI Tools During ECA Trials**
DU has also completely prohibited the use of AI tools, unauthorized electronic devices, and the internet during trials conducted under the Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) quota. The university has stated that the candidature of candidates found violating these rules may be cancelled. DU has advised all students to thoroughly check all uploaded documents before submitting their application forms and to ensure that they are completely genuine and authentic. This will help avoid any difficulties during the admission process.
