New Delhi: The military conflict between America and Iran in the Middle East has now reached a very destructive point. The US Air Force and Navy carried out rapid air strikes on Iran’s major military and strategic targets for the ninth consecutive night. These attacks, carried out under the direct instructions of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), shook the land from north-west to south-east Iran.

The main goal of this new action, which started at 7 pm on the orders of the US President, is said to be to ensure the safety of international ships and marines in the Strait of Hormuz. According to the US military, through these attacks those Iranian military capabilities which were being used to target commercial ships are being destroyed.

Tabriz and Chabahar: Several powerful explosions were recorded from the historic city of Tabriz in the north-west to the strategic Chabahar port in the south-east.

Hormozgan and Bushehr: Loud explosions were heard in coastal and energy sensitive provinces.

Air Defense Active in Konarak: Immediately after the blasts, Iran’s air defense systems in the Konark area came into hyperactive mode.

Merchant ship burns in Hormuz

Amidst the aerial bombardment, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz became more frightening when a massive fire broke out in a large commercial ship near the coast of Oman. According to the report of the British Naval Surveillance Agency (UKMTO), this ship was seen burning in the middle of the sea. Although it is not yet officially clear whether the ship was hit by a missile attack or a sea mine, but this incident has raised deep questions on the security of the global oil supply route.

Red alert from US Embassy in Bahrain

The increasing military conflict has created panic in the entire Gulf region. The US Embassy in Manama, the capital of Bahrain, has issued a high security alert for its citizens with immediate effect. According to the embassy, ​​intelligence inputs have been received that Iran is planning to target American bases or important complexes in central Manama.
