As soon as thousands of youth from many states of the country marched ahead, Delhi Police and Paramilitary personnel stopped them on the way. This action of the police led to a conflict between the protesters and the soldiers. Delhi Police fired tear gas shells and used batons to stop thousands of protesters marching towards the Parliament House.
Dozens of students have been injured in the police action. CJP had called for protests for the dismissal of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and reforms in education.
