Lock Up 2 Ram Kapoor Shreya Kalra Controversy: Actress Gautami Kapoor has publicly defended her husband Ram Kapoor after he faced online criticism over his behavior in ‘Lock Up: Truth or Punishment’.

In fact, another contestant of the show, Shreya Kalra, has alleged that Ram has violated her personal boundaries inside the reality show, after which Ram Kapoor was also trolled on social media. In a video shared on social media, Gautami said that she had initially chosen to remain silent, but as the criticism increased, she had to respond.

Gautami Kapoor came forward to defend her husband

Gautami said on Instagram, “Many people are calling him cheap, ‘tharki’ and calling him selfish. Let me tell you, Ram’s nature is like this. He treats everyone with affection. He entered the show without any strategy or plan. This is his personality.” He also urged viewers not to form their opinions based only on edited TV episodes. He said, “We watch the show from our homes, but the contestants have been locked in their homes for weeks under immense mental pressure. We only get to see edited footage, not the full picture. Before making any comments, please remember that these words affect families too.”

Defending her husband, Gautami raised the question as to why this issue came up in the house only after several weeks had passed. He said, “If Ram’s behavior was really inappropriate from the beginning, the contestants would have interrupted him long ago.” He also indicated that recent developments in the sport may have escalated the controversy.

What did Shreya Kalra say?

The debate intensified after Shreya Kalra talked about maintaining personal boundaries in a recent episode. Recalling Ram Kapoor’s behaviour, she said that if he tried to kiss her again, she would stop him and say, “Even my father doesn’t kiss me that much.” Shreya criticized Ram and said that despite helping him in many tasks, he did not support her. Let us tell you that at the beginning of the season, Ram was seen kissing Shreya on the cheek, when Shreya won a task which ensured her safety in the game.
