VinFast Viper scooter design revealed
The production-ready design of the VinFast Viper electric scooter has been seen in a recently filed patent. This model closely matches the scooters available for sale in Vietnam. Compared to the patent that surfaced earlier, this time the design looks more final and like a production model.
The scooter has sharp bodywork, single-piece LED headlight, five-spoke alloy wheels and a hub-mounted electric motor. The Viper model sold in Vietnam comes with a 4.8 kWh battery pack and a 3 kW electric motor.
Design patent for electric motorcycle also
VinFast has also filed a design patent for an electric motorcycle, which looks very similar to the company’s Sulad Concept. VinFast had introduced this concept earlier this year as part of its future electric motorcycle strategy.
Although the company has not yet shared its official specifications, but according to Vietnamese media reports, its production version can get an electric motor of up to 50 kW and a top speed of about 130 km/h.
Indications of big plan for India
These new design patents clearly indicate that VinFast does not want to be limited to just electric scooters in India. The company is also considering introducing many new models including electric motorcycles in the future.
However, the filing of a design patent does not guarantee that the vehicle in question will be launched in the market. Despite this, it can definitely be assumed that VinFast is seriously evaluating these models for the Indian market.
Waiting for launch timeline
At present, VinFast has not revealed the launch timeline of the Viper electric scooter or the new electric motorcycle in India. In the coming time, the company may share more information regarding its strategy and new products.
