Saudi football’s transfer scene could be shaken once again as Riyadh powerhouse Al-Hilal prepare for another major move.

The coming hours may hold new surprises for the club’s summer dealings, with Al-Hilal determined to rebuild after a disappointing 2025–2026 season in which they lifted only the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup.

A senior Al-Hilal representative has reportedly travelled to London with a specific mission in mind — to secure the signature of England captain Harry Kane.

According to reports from Al-Midan Al-Riyadi on Tuesday evening, the Riyadh giants have reignited their pursuit of the Bayern Munich striker. The publication revealed that Al-Hilal’s technical director, Simon Francis, is already in London to finalise the potential deal.

Francis is currently overseeing Al-Hilal’s transfer activities this summer, while Scottish sporting director Richard Hughes is expected to assume the role in the coming weeks.

Details from the Anticipated London Meeting

Al-Midan Al-Riyadi further confirmed that Simon Francis is scheduled to meet Harry Kane’s agent and his representatives in London to discuss the terms of a possible move. The meeting will focus on understanding Kane’s financial expectations and the personal benefits he seeks before Al-Hilal proceed with an official offer.

The discussions are also expected to outline the framework for negotiations with Bayern Munich, as the 32-year-old striker remains under contract with the German club until 30 June 2027.

Harry Kane’s Journey at Bayern Munich

Harry Kane joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023 from Tottenham Hotspur, the club where he rose through the ranks. The transfer reportedly cost Bayern around €95 million, and the England forward signed a contract running until June 2027.

Since his arrival, Kane’s record in Germany has been exceptional. Across 147 official appearances in all competitions, he has scored 146 goals and provided 33 assists, demonstrating his remarkable consistency and impact on the pitch.

His time with Bayern has also brought success in terms of silverware. Kane has helped the team capture four major trophies — two Bundesliga titles, one German Cup, and one German Super Cup.

Al-Hilal’s transfer activity has intensified since Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal officially took over ownership of the club. The management has been moving swiftly to reinforce the squad both domestically and internationally.

On the home front, Al-Hilal have already secured several local signings, including:
