Middle East Crisis: Amid the ongoing military tension between Iran and America, the Pentagon has admitted that about 100 American soldiers have been injured in Iran’s retaliatory attacks. According to US Defense Ministry spokesman Sean Parnell, these soldiers were injured in the attacks that took place after July 7. Most of these soldiers had minor head injuries and almost all have returned to duty.

Delayed due to security reasons

America said that the delay in making public the information about injured soldiers was done due to security reasons. Earlier a report had claimed that the US Defense Department was hiding information to the loss of soldiers. Meanwhile, attacks between the two countries continue. Iran targeted the areas where American military bases are present. In response, America carried out air strikes on many cities of Iran.

50 people died and 517 injured – report

According to Al Jazeera’s report, 17 American soldiers have died so far in the Iran war that has been going on since February 28, while more than 430 soldiers are said to be injured. At the same time, according to Iranian officials, so far at least 50 people have died and 517 people have been injured in the American attacks. However, Iran has not released any official figures on the military and infrastructure losses caused by the US attacks.

According to Iranian media reports, the attacks took place in Abadan, Bandar Abbas, Bushehr, Chabahar and some other areas. At the same time, information has come to light that Iran has also targeted power and water plants in Kuwait. Kuwait administration said that after the attacks, fires broke out in some plants, which were later controlled.

Araghchi in controversy regarding interview

Qatar has also demanded compensation from Iran for the damage caused by the attacks on its territory. Qatar said in a letter sent to the United Nations that it reserves the right to take necessary steps to protect its security and sovereignty. On the other hand, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is in controversy regarding one of his interviews. He had mentioned the shortcomings in the security system, after which some leaders and media organizations of Iran criticized him.

Amidst this entire incident, tension between the two countries is increasing. The attacks and retaliation have also increased concerns about regional security.
