IPL team Delhi Capitals expands its global cricket growth, adding Saudi Arabia to its world academy network. Arguably dominating cricket induction in the whole world, Delhi Capitals Cricket Academy have opened its new centre in collaboration with JSC Sports. Jeddah has become the first international cricket academy centre in the city.

The academy has begun training over 50 boys and girls, aged from five to 17. Developing cricketers are split into four development groups.

As part of the partnership, Delhi Capitals will initiate a comprehensive coaching programme at the Jeddah academy. The players will be coached by ICC-certified coaches and will have access to modern coaching equipment, high-performance centres, periodic monitoring and exchange programmes to ensure development of skills.

After the recent inclusion of Saudi Arabia, the Delhi Capitals franchise extends to five countries across the globe. The franchise presently has seven academies in India along with six in the UK, Canada, the US and Saudi Arabia.

According to Delhi Capitals CEO Sunil Gupta, the academy launch is another milestone in our long-term vision to grow the game globally.

We have always wanted to create a global connected network for cricket development with young players, no matter where they are, to be able to provide opportunities. Saudi Arabia is a rapidly developing nation, and we are pleased to partner with JSC Sports, who share our passion for building the game at the grassroots worldwide."

Saudi Arabia Sees Cricket Growth Under Vision 2030. JSC has been doing a lot to promote cricket in Saudi Arabia. Through its efforts alone, 10 of the country's national age-group teams have been represented.

Jazim Haris, JSC Sports head of operations & head of cricket, said this synergy will benefit the youngsters of Jeddah, helping them get professional coaching & having better opportunities.

The new academy shows Delhi Capitals are increasingly committed to seeking out local talent outside of India and promoting cricket growth into new markets such as Saudi Arabia.
