Toll Local Pass: If you commute through a toll plaza daily, you likely have to stop and pay the toll each time, which wastes time. However, there is no need to worry anymore, as you won't have to pay the toll tax repeatedly. A local toll pass facility is being launched for daily commuters; this will save significant time and remove the need to stop at the toll plaza. Do note, however, that there are certain conditions you must meet.

What is the local toll pass, and what are the conditions?

This is a monthly digital pass issued via NHAI’s 'Rajmarg Yatra' app. Please note that this pass is intended for individuals whose homes are located within a 20-kilometer radius of the toll plaza. Once the pass is issued, you will be allowed to pass through that specific toll plaza without paying the toll for 30 days. The cost of this pass has been set at ₹350.

Can everyone avail of this pass?

Crucially, not everyone is eligible to obtain this pass.
The address listed on your Aadhaar card must fall within 20 kilometers of the toll plaza.
Additionally, the vehicle must be registered in the applicant's name.
Only non-commercial vehicles are eligible for this pass.
Your vehicle must have an active FASTag.
The name on your Aadhaar card and Registration Certificate (RC) must match.

How do I get the toll local pass?

To get started, open the 'Rajmarg Yatra' app. Next, select your toll plaza.
Then, verify your address using DigiLocker.
After that, the FASTag needs to be verified.
You will have to pay ₹350 for this pass.
Your pass will become active once the entire process is complete.

Here are some important rules to know:

This pass is valid only at the specific toll plaza selected.
It is valid only for the vehicle against which it was issued.
The pass may be cancelled if used with a different vehicle.
The pass is valid for one month.
However, there is no limit on the number of times you can cross the toll plaza within that month.
