Indian cricketers T20I debut in Zimbabwe: The three-match T20 series between India and Zimbabwe is going to start from July 23. The most special thing about this tour is that many young players have been given a chance in the Indian team. In the last few years, Zimbabwe has become the country where Team India has been giving the maximum opportunity to players to make T20 International debut. Till now, a total of 22 Indian players have played their first T20 International match on Zimbabwean soil.

Debut of 22 players in 4 tours

The Indian team has visited Zimbabwe four times so far. This time this is his fifth visit. India first toured Zimbabwe in 2010 for the T20 series. After this, in the years 2015, 2016 and 2024 also, Team India went on Zimbabwe tour for T20 series. On these 4 tours, 22 players from India made their T20 International debut.

Indian players who made their T20I debut on Zimbabwe tour

In the year 2010, when the Indian team went to Zimbabwe for the T20 series for the first time, a total of 4 players made their T20 debut for Team India, which included the names of Virat Kohli, R Ashwin, Naman Ojha and Amit Mishra. After this, a total of 6 players made their debut in the 2015 tour, in which Stuart Binny, Kedar Jadhav, Manish Pandey, Akshar Patel, Sandeep Sharma and Sanju Samson made their T20 International debut.

A total of 7 Indian players made their T20 debut in the 2016 tour, which included the names of KL Rahul, Rishi Dhawan, Jaydev Unadkat, Mandeep Singh, Dhawal Kulkarni, Yuzvendra Chahal and Barinder Sran. Five Indian players made their T20 debut in the 2024 tour, which included the names of Abhishek Sharma, Ryan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Sai Sudarshan and Tushar Deshpande.

Many players may debut this time too

The Indian team has now toured Zimbabwe for the fifth time for the T20 series. It is expected that this time too many Indian young players may get a chance to debut in T20 International.
