ISRO: The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched an internship program for students of science and technology. Who can apply?
Students pursuing B.Tech, B.E., B.Sc. (Physics and Chemistry), BS-MS, Integrated M.Sc., Integrated M.Tech, M.E., M.Tech, M.Sc., and Ph.D. programs are eligible to apply. Undergraduate students must have completed at least their fourth semester at the time of application. For M.E., M.Tech, and M.Sc. students, completion of the first semester is mandatory, while Ph.D. students must have completed their coursework. Applications will be accepted only from students enrolled in regular, campus-based courses or those who have completed their course on or after February 14, 2025.

Key points regarding eligibility and selection
Applicants must be Indian citizens. Candidates are required to have secured a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale. Students may undertake the internship only once during each degree program. Selection for the internship will be entirely at the discretion of VSSC. A limited number of students will be selected based on the availability of laboratory and other facilities. Selected candidates will be informed solely via e-mail.

Internship duration
The internship duration is set for a minimum of 21 days and a maximum of 45 days. No stipend, honorarium, or financial assistance will be provided to students during this period. While applying, candidates can upload information regarding their mark sheets, technical skills, previous projects, work experience, and other achievements as a single PDF file of up to 5 MB.

The internship will be conducted from November 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027. Online applications for the internship will open at 10:00 AM on August 14, 2026, and will be accepted until 11:59 PM on September 14, 2026. Candidates can apply by visiting the official link: vssc.gov.in/STUDENTS/.
